It's a beautiful day

Oliver's talking is coming along in leaps and bounds. The other day Colleen was rewarding him with a burger in a shopping centre food court. Half way through the burger Oliver stood up on his chair, looked to the ceiling and exclaimed "It's a beautiful day!".

While making a cup of tea in the kitchen I heard Oliver exclaim excitedly "I like this!" I turned around and see Oliver guzzling Ice Magic from the bottle.  YUMMO!

When purchasing lunch at the sausage sizzle outside Bunnings Oliver picked up a softdrink can and asked loudly "Want a beer mummy!?"  This gave the guy behind the counter a good laugh.

Tree Gone

posted 5 Jul 2008 04:08 by Craig Box

The poinciana tree that had enjoyed many years dropping leaves, seedpods, branches on the roof and a third of the back yard came up against me and a chainsaw. Needless to say the tree no longer takes up the back yard. See all the photos here: http://picasaweb.google.com/seaboxes/OurHouse

Weeding .. a Family Affair

posted 5 Jul 2008 03:56 by Craig Box

The rain that's been around for the last few months has caused the yard to flourish.. with weeds! So the whole family got into the act of pulling them out by hand, Colleen did the most work, Piper loved getting dirty, Oliver antagonised the neighbours dog and I removed out another tree root that ran across the yard.

Bikes a Hit

posted 5 Jul 2008 03:41 by Craig Box

Oliver and Piper have been enjoying the verandah on a daily basis. There are fights over who gets what bike, but hours are enjoyed riding the length of the verandah and looking the traffic  go by on the road.

Piper Standing

Piper is getting more confident standing. Not only does she get on Olivers bike by herself but she also pushes it around lots.
